Banded blue sprat

I have never heard of this fish before but this is what my translator translates it as. It was thinner than usual sashimi but was still nice and light. In Japanese, it is kibinago.

Deep-fried baby soy beans

Deep-fried baby soy beans is the best translation for this dish. The shell is similar to that of gyoza, a kind of dumpling previously featured. Lovely!

Horseradish salad

Horseradish, potato and baby sardine salad. Nice and light.

Dragon Fruit

Dragon fruit is popular in Okinawa, the island chain to the south-west of Japan. The flesh is often white but in this case it is purple. A refreshing start to the day at breakfast!

Chicken with egg and leeks

An interesting dish. Not quite sure how they cooked the eggs due to the thickness of the dish. It's possible they used a blowtorch-like instrument. But I am no cooking expert. I just eat.

This dish comes with a small bowl of sauce to dip the strands in. An interesting taste. Pretty good.
