Chicken wing croquette

A chicken wing surrounded by mashed potato and bread crumbs

Intestines

Not sure from which animal. The menu was unclear. Had intestine breath the next day.

Very deep colour. Lovely.

Raw chicken

Tastes like chicken.

Deep-fried Camembert

Not a Japanese invention but lovingly presented

Raisin butter

Butter with raisins in it. A delicious beer snack.

About this blog

Hello. I'm Gareth. Originally from the UK, I lived in Japan from 2005 until 2008. I moved back to Tokyo at the beginning of 2011 and am now living deep in the western suburbs. One thing I really missed during my time away was the amazing range of foods on offer. I have thus decided to document here some of the more interesting and unusual ones I eat. Enjoy.
